Annie Poquee has been with the organization since 2015. In 2017, she took on the Program Coordinator role for a residence in Boxford. Annie is extremely hard-working and committed to her job and exhibits an incredible amount of compassion and care towards her position and the individuals she serves. 

She works in a wonderful program that can be challenging at times. Annie shows patience, consideration, and incredible perception in working with the five ladies within her residence. She has created an active and enjoyable home for them. They enjoy vacations, salon visits, shopping trips, participating in college courses, and receiving all the care that they need. Annie also encourages the ladies to cultivate relationships with friends, family members, and significant others.

Through the years—and especially during the pandemic—Annie has faced many challenges with staffing shortages. Some of the ladies were not able to return to day programs until quite recently and she continued to make sure they received excellent care at their residence.

Annie has dedicated so much of her time to making sure that the program runs smoothly, and that the individuals and staff feel supported. Within the past year, Annie has experienced multiple personal tragedies as well as the loss of one of the ladies at the home. Despite all of this, she shows up every day with strength and encouragement for everyone. Her passion for serving our individuals is unwavering. Annie is truly a powerful example of compassionate caring.
