The Employee Recognition & Appreciation committee congratulates Alexandra Demeo for being selected for an Employee Spotlight Award in the Autumn of 2023! The award recognizes the exceptional contributions of May employees. Winners are nominated by their colleagues, managers, and supervisors from across the organization. 

Nomination:

Alex is currently overseeing two classrooms in Core B. This year, she has rolled out a new classroom-wide intervention that has drastically decreased problem behavior for students who historically engage in high intensity episodes. With incredible progressions in staff and student safety, the students are now participating in a higher response effort daily schedule targeting functional communication and independence with daily living skills. Students and staff are happy and engaged, with an increase in data collection and assent/cooperation across the board. She is an incredible asset to our school and deserves a bright spotlight to highlight the lives she has changed. Big congratulations to Alex, and thank you for all you do!
