Dr. Cynthia Anderson, Senior Vice President of Applied Behavior Analysis at May Institute, traveled to India as a guest speaker at the 2019 International Autism Conference, Accountability and Evidence Based Practices in Autism.

May Institute’s Dr. Ivy Chong traveled to Beijing to present two invited lectures and participate in a panel discussion at the International Forum on Treatment and Policies for Autism Spectrum Disorder. The forum was sponsored by the Ai You Foundation, China's first private foundation.

Dr. Ralph Sperry traveled to China to give an invited lecture on the National Standards Project in Haikou in the province of Hainan. He also met with government officials in Shenzhen to discuss the development of an autism center.

May Institute was selected by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations Professional Fellows Program to provide a fellowship to the Executive Director of the largest autism non-governmental organizations (NGO) in China. This program, funded by the U.S. State Department, was developed to strengthen capacity in NGOs in various parts of the world. The focus of the fellowship is to learn about daily operations and governance of an American autism NGO.

May Institute entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manazel Real Estate PJSC to explore the need for and feasibility of developing and operating a school for children with ASD in the United Arab Emirates. Manazel is a leading developer in the UAE.

Dr. Ralph Sperry, who holds a joint appointment as Chief Operating Officer for both May Institute and its National Autism Center (NAC), and Dr. Robert Putnam, a member of May Institute’s executive leadership team, and Senior Vice President of Research and Consultation for NAC, traveled to Oman on a trip that was sponsored by the Omani Ministry of Social Development. They delivered a four-day workshop on autism treatment in Muscat, the capital of Oman and the seat of government.

Dr. Nathan Lambright, Vice President of Clinical Services in Educational Services at May Institute, attended the "Forum for Talent Development for Special Education" in Beijing held for teachers from across China. He presented a seminar on the use of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to teach children with autism and gave a workshop on data collection and using ABA to decrease challenging behaviors.
Dr. Ralph Sperry, May Institute Chief Operating Officer, and Dr. Bob Putnam, Executive Vice President, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, visited autism organizations in Qatar and Abu Dhabi to explore potential collaborative ventures.
